Kanchan Bharati

Kanchan Bharati is a post-graduate in Sociology from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and has an M.Phil. in Sociology from the Central University of Hyderabad. She obtained her doctorate degree from the University of Mysore (through ISEC, Bangalore). Her academic research includes gerentological studies in the care of elderly and widows.  Besides publishing in several academic journals, she has also presented many research papers at various conferences. Earlier she was associated with the NCERT, Delhi and NIRD, Hyderabad on short-term research assignments. Prior to joining the CCD, she has worked at the IIM-Bangalore as Academic Associate.
